I've had the overhead console down and I'm not sure I feel comfortable connecting to it. I still think I want to go to the fuse compartment.

I believe the interval is programmed at the factory, not the dealer's.
My dealer's service advisor said not covered, but a polite chat with the customer relations mgr, got it done, no charge, as goodwill.
Had this issue with the damper several months ago. 5 minutes of Googling found photos showing damper replacement.
