my "oil change door" is long gone and I like it that way, much easier to change oil/filter without the door in the way.

I use a either a heat shield or car cover when parked at work and it helps a LOT, otherwise the car struggles to cool down from the 150 F internal...

leave it off, the oil changes are lot easier with it removed!
next oil for me is Castrol EDGE...allegedly much "better" the M1.
Toyota needs to FIX the issue, not put a band-aid on it by taking it apart and cleaning it...the same issue will come up again OUT OF WARRANTY.
Bump to see if Toyota has resolved the fungus issue or is just having the same problem with the replacements.
