All that has said and done, what about the effect of a smaller wheel and tire set, say a 185/75/14 tire, which has the same diameter and load rating?
I ended up buying the prius 4. I am in the middle of a vacation and have already 1400 miles on it averaging over 52 mpg. So far so good!
Seems decent. Maybe 1-3 mpg low, but probably not worth throwing away a set of tires unless they suck on the road.
