Have you checked your 12v battery? Is it the original?

The higher resolution MFD was installed in the 06 - 09. It is not in the 05, so I don't know what quality you will get with a backup camera in an 05.
Adding the Toyota NAV to a non-NAV Prius is cost prohibitive. Get a good Garmin. You'll be much happier. It's a better NAV than the OEM.
