The recall is for the 2004 thru early 2007 models.
Not all Gen II inverter coolant pumps are under the recall. I suggest you change the wording of your 1st choice in the poll.
Save your money. The EV mode with a Gen II won't save you anything.
What's the condition of your 12v battery? Is it the original? If so, it probably needs to be replaced.
It may have been the 12v battery. If you had your lights on and AC while going through the car wash, you may have dropped the 12v bus voltage low...

Is your 12v battery still the original? The symptoms indicate a dying or dead 12v battery. If it's the original, it definitely needs to be replaced.

Sounds like your 12v battery needs to be replaced. There is no transmission in the Prius.
What makes you think the odor is coming from the battery?
There aren't any known electrical problems with that model year. I wouldn't worry about it. Carfax is not the best when it comes to details...
It could have been that the 12v battery was replaced.
