I wouldn't say most of us over inflate. I set mine to the factory recommended pressure.
What's with all this "cracking" the windows? Open all four windows all the way, just for a few seconds as you start driving. Then its all done....
It doesn't take long to get the hot air out so you don't have to drive long with the windows open. But it makes a big difference.
