I usually get between 450 to 600 miles before the first "pip" goes off. :p
None of these techniques have any benefit if you only make short trips, or spend a lot of time driving UP hill a lot. Your mpg will suck. Period....

Only 70-75? Why is your mileage so low? I routinely get 85-110mpg driving 70-80mph, uphill, with the ac blasting at full.
