    Check engine light and HUGE discrepancy between computer and gas gauge mpg – any ideas?

    As for the CEL, make sure the gas cap is on tight. If found loose, it will take several start/shutdown cycles for the CEL to clear.

    Maintenance by dealer?

    Don't buy pre-paid maintenance!!! It's a waste of your hard earned money. The recommended 5K service averages about $50. You do the math.

    It's a deflector similar to the ones used on side windows. It can be removed.

    Front Windshield top tint?

    I've never had a Toyota that had the tinted strip at the top. In fact I think most cars from Asia don't have the tint.
