Seems to me we have a lot of speculation on why we burn oil on here....have we not had any rebuild shops put there take on it comment....
If you can change headlight assembly the cost might put you off, these newer ones are mega bucks .

Perhaps worth doing regularly every other service, maybe prevention of oil burning to start with. .
UK prius do burn oil too, I've seen a few with problems. I have 2 a 2010 and a 2012 and both don't burn oil. Has anyone tryed a good engine flush...

Can only advise people, after that it's up to them, car had been using oil at about a litre every 2000 miles as he was using it for fast motorway...
