i think i think you can get 14 volts out the HV battery by taking it from the opposite sides, i think thats what i measured when i opened it...

vsc vsc isnt just for cold environments, its always there and ready for you when the time calls for it example, driving 50 mph and a sudden rapid...
it might not even be the engine, it could be the snow, and or loss of traction. Back in the winter of 06 in NJ i drove it in a pretty bad snow...
it is impossible to start the vehicle without HV battery, a MAIN battery warning will be illuminated on the MFD....

the main battery is used to power the electric motor to spin up the gasoline engine, there is no starter. Therefore you need the main battery...
