Bearings can be worn out due to extremely rough roads or by high speed turning such as taking a 35 mph off ramp at around 50.

I wouldn't say dangerously low on fumes... that's still .29 based solely on spec. Which at 50 MPGs (using this number since he didn't post his)...

Those are different fuses, they should in no way be causing this... with that said... I've seen weirder gremlins. Check your fuses to make sure...
