Passenger side is mounted under the light housing itself. Drivers side is attached to the frame behind the bumper.
I run mine for 2 hours a day 5 days a week. I have had this for 3 months now and haven't had a single problem with the H11 HID bulbs in the fog...
So technically, HID lights are non-OEM parts. Homelink mirrors, backup cameras and rear hatch lights are all non-OEM parts as well.
