Not true with the IMA system. Remember the manual vs CVT mpg rating in the Insight? It was about 20 mpg difference for highway use.
It is designed for SUV (ie Carpooling), its the owners' fault for not using the SUV with carpooling in mind. So why reward bad car purchase habit...
