No need the oil thats recomended is way better than higher weight dino oil. Plus if you went to a higher weight oil you will loose mpg.
The only thing i see wrong is letting the car idle. if you idle if for 5 minutes then drive 10 miles in 5 minutes you might get that low of mpg....
