Completely dumb!!! Check out your local tire/wheel shop. They likely have the same tool to reset/sync/repair the TPMS and will charge ALOT less...
Yeah, there "has" to be a way to disable the TPMS in our Gen 2's. On the web, you'll find of course (at PC) the method to disable Gen 3 TPMS....
