Oh! about 3-5 years, unless it has been drained with lights left on dead battery or some thing, than it could be sooner.
I don't know, but I do know if the 12 volt is bad it does all kind of wacky things with the electronics in the car.
I do not know if a bad 12 volt battery could cause this or not? Might not hurt to check it out.
