There was another member with a similar issue, he had a 2015 plug in. Maybe they changed the programming/firmware on the 2015
Check the little wires on the bus bar, you most likely broke one of the sense wires or temperature wires
Are all the nuts tightened on the bus bar? Not missing any?
You would have to trace your steps, check if all the bolts tighten, all the connections tight. No reason it won't start now, it's in the battery...

Have you grounded the battery case to the car? Put in the mounting bolts

Your orange interlock on the battery should be locked, flip up and slide down (in gen2, it's down) to lock it
Used inverters are really cheap, maybe you should just go and install one. I sold one for $100
