At the rate you folks use gas (very jealous!), do you add any gas stabilizers like Stabil? Worries about gumming and varnish build-up, or has gas...

Excellent point - maybe there are fusible links on those lines? There is a 10A fuse in my Gen II instrument panel fuse box labeled A/C (HTR) that...
Check the fuse for the AC compressor. I believe it is position 17 in the instrument panel (under dash) fuse box.
Sometimes reseating a loose fuse will restore the circuit. If the problem reoccurs, check the relevant fuses with a resistance meter.
Try taking a smallish box and cut off both ends and put the trap inside the "tunnel". Rodents like dark places; birds tend to stay in the open.
Do you truly have no power steering, or just lights and codes? If the former, +1 on checking the harness and connections to the power steering...
Maybe now they will go mess with Tesla sites rather than this one!
