The reason is because the inverter is not hot enough to code. The lower temperature helps, driving shorter distances helps also.
They don’t have a Toyota specific reader so you might get some codes, all codes or none at all.

Contact @2k1Toaster He might know someone in your area that could install his kit. In your situation it’s your best bet for a long term solution.
Did it flash on when you hit the brakes or did it come on and stay on? If it just flashed on I would check my oil level before I drove one foot.
