there is an sport mode in S-CVT, but car does not know what you are doing or trying to do... it doesnt know where is the curve or where you need...
i have driven S-CVT in manual mode, and it works great... i have no idea how it work on Lexus Hybrids. However, once again, in S-CVT, it works...

you can be as foolish as you want, fact is that Mazda2 with 1.3l engine gets 30% less mpg under Japanese cycle than Prius... so lets say it gets...
