In the early 80s when I first moved down here I was confused they basically used sand instead of road salt.
They are required by Toyota to test the battery as part of the PDS here in the US.
Isn't dos,antling for long term storage a little extreme?? ;)

I believe they are supposed to charge up the 12V battery monthly too.
They claim to tell you about towing your vehicle without saying how to get it into Neutral after a collision with the Hybrid system disabled!...
i think down here in south central Virginia they use a mix of sand & salt, much weaker than when i lived in Toronto Canada.
FYI, Toyota's latest long term storage doc says to recharge the 12V battery monthly. I would recommend connecting to a battery tender.
