I suggest you check the 12v battery. If your car has the original battery it probably needs to be replaced. An old/weak can cause the ICE to run...

Your wheels look standard to me. They have the outer trim rings removed. That probably makes them look different.
I don't know is any of the conversion companies are still in business or if a Gen III kit was ever marketed.
