Just realize that audio limitations in the Prius v are in the head unit, not in the rear speakers.
The 1983 Porsche 944 had a rear wiper delete option from the factory… wasn’t (then) an issue for inspections.
Likewise, the 2012 v Five at 58,000 miles.

I have done similar modifications with the sports car, but never this particular work, and not on a Prius head.

Cut the tube flush with head, internally thread the tube, install threaded replacement. The threaded replacement will slightly expand the tube...
