I am replacing the speakers on my 05 prius with premium JBL speakers The replacements components speakers have their own passive crossover the front installation went well i connected the speaker harness to the crossover which then feeds the woofer and tweeter. both front component speakers work fine. HOWEVER i installed the rear speakers in the same manner yet no signal in troubleshooting i reconnected the old JBL woofer and still no sound! Only after i reconnected the old JBL tweeter did the speakers function. I did notice the rear jbl tweeters may have an inline crossover(filter) see pics the black tweeter is the front and the rear tweeter is white and has a transistor attached. https://photos.app.goo.gl/EFa88DsG7o99CRt86 Q: what wires do i tap into to get a signal? it seems the signal is going through the tweeter first which then passes the signal to the woofer since the woofer goes silent if i disconnect the tweeter!
