if anyone wants me to scan up the entire 09 prius brochure please reply to this post wondering how much interest there is, maybe the pictures are different!
me too me too. i'm buying a prius within the next year, and am still deciding between an 09 or waiting for a 10.
And do you think the brochure will tell you? You Americans have a funny way of describing cars as a model year, as if each model year will be different, and no changes can occur during a model year. I suspect it's a ploy of the car makers to attract novelty interest even when there isn't anything new. We don't have that in Europe, the new VW Golf is simply described as, well, the new Golf. Until the next generation comes out, and the previous one becomes generation X. At any rate, advertising and brochures is about the least useful source of information on whether to buy now or wait. Their message will always be: BUY NOW! Maybe I'll regret that I didn't wait.
or it can be used as a good resource to read about the 09 model year car to figure out if the features are the same as the 08, pricing, etc. if it's pretty much all the same i'd wait until the '10 models which should have the next gen technology (or at least some of it). so yes, when interested in buying a new car i'd like to look at the most up to date, newest brochures available, before making my own decision. and yes, i do understand how advertising works, thank you.
fyi there is no mention of retail prices in the brochure and mostly pictures, accessories mentions the ipod interface and the xm or sirius radio but no prices page 19 has a hand written note, someone from the dealer drew an arrow or an x, that is how i got it, maybe someone at the dealership wants to push package #2 and not push package #3 also an error on page 19 lists the ipod interface twice attachment wont attach, its 15 megs of a pdf file i made. maybe its too big for here? priuschat is complaining about a missing security token and to notify the admin link prius 2009.pdf - Free Monster-Sized File Hosting & Sharing
Has anyone else seen one of these in person? I'm wondering why if Toyota isn't making any package 1s or 3s anymore why wouldn't they take them out of the 09 brochure? The iPod interface kit seems too good to be true as well... if it's just carrying forward from 08 does that mean to kit will work in an 08 as well?
Indeed, very little change from 2008 except the iPod interface option. I hope that would work in my 2008.
all, I just got back from my 60,000 mile service (on Wed for only $102.05) & found the '09 Prius brochure at my dealer (way early this year---normally not available until Dec). The brochure is basically the same page for page (except for a slightly different layout & cropping on the cover), the layout of only 1 or 2 pages inside, & a foldout at the back for the specs. On the pages where the photos are all exactly the same, only the text has been changed. I did NOT go through the '08 & '09 brochures with a fine-toothed comb though. kjconrad : Who told you that Toyota isn't making any pkg 1's or 3's any more? Those are probably just pkg's that aren't carried in your region, but rather than tell you that & have you shop for one of those pkg's (if you want one) in another state /region, your dealer will just tell you that it's been discontinued to keep you at his dealership to hopefully buy the next higher option pkg level that his region does carry. exbauer, I know you asked a little over 5 weeks ago now (in post #20 at the bottom of Pg 2 in this thread) about a possible price increase for the '09 model Prius (I think somebody else also asked in another thread somewhere too). I assume you've kept up here & seen the post [by C Rickey Hirose, I think (but he mostly posts over at PriusOnLine)] that there is going to be a $500 price increase for the '09 Prius. That's over & above the $400 price increase we just had in mid-May for the remainder of the '08 Prius model run. Ken (in Bolton,Ct)
