When my Tundra JBL's blew, I had them repaired for 100bucks; however, I had the expense of the dealer removing and re-installing them. Same thing has happened with the Prius (front door). So, replace with OEM, repair, replace with 2-ohm aftermarket (what fits?), or replace with 4-ohm (need an amp?)? Please advise.
parts express may be able to repair the speakers, but you'll need to ship them and wait. I don't know who makes 2 or 3 ohm speakers. 4 ohm may work but might not be loud enough. crutchfield might be able to help you find suitable replacement speakers.
