I bought a 2006 prius a couple days ago. It has every option on it, nav, jbl, bluetooth, backup cam, hids, etc. I am trying to upgrade to a newer nav disk. It came with disk U40 with part numbers 86271-47040 464210-0701 data version 5.1 I know from looking online that this is a gen 5 nav system so I got a gen 5 dvd version 7.1 with part number 464210-0971. It loads fine but then the nav system says unable to read dvd map data. Any ideas what is going on here? I know 9.1 is the latest nav disk but I got the 7.1 for 5 bux off a friend so I figured some updates are better than none
I believe you are correct that you need a Gen 5 NAV DVD, but I don't recognize your part number as being correct. Here is a post listing the 3 different 7.1 DVDs: http://priuschat.com/forums/private-sales/45587-08-dvd-navigation-map-cd-sale-2.html#post602843
I tried to post a link but it wouldnt let me so lets try this: toyotanavi dot hu / navigen dot html Scroll down to gen 5 and youll see my part number there.
You have to have 5 posts before they allow you to post links (to discourage spammers). Toyota-Lexus navi generációk It looks like you have the right disc. Is the disc an original Toyota disc, or could it be a copy? I know that people have tried to copy the originals and it is difficult to get the copy to work correctly. Otherwise, I don't know.
