I picked up my 2006 Prius on Saturday. My dealer said that "all I have to do is go to Best Buy and ask them to install an antenna. The satellite radio will just work". I went to Best Buy, and not surprising - they had no clue on how to wire Sirius up with the 2006 so it's integrated with the audio system. Because it has a AM/SAT button, I'm assuming there's some kind of pre-wiring already done, but where is the satellite tuner / serial #? I called my Toyota dealer the next day and tried to get clarification and they had no clue! Anyone here have an idea? Thanks, Jimmie
Pretty sure he lied to you. Well thats unusual isn't it? If it is like the 2005/2005 you will need a tuner and antenna that when installed is integrated to the radio. The price at Factory Interactive is $295 and at Coastal Tech is $299 with 6 months free service.
