    H. Michael intensified from cat 1 to cat 4 in 15 hours. Few others did it better.

    Those planning Mazatlan trips soon probably have cancelled already. Otherwise, adventures await.

    Hurricane Willa (far eastern Pacific) has also done the rapid-intensification thing, although not quite as rapidly as H. Michael did.
