I've owned my 2019 Prius Limited now for about 2 weeks. Hadn't an issue until after I went through a car wash today. Dashboard lit up, check engine light, yellow triangle, multiple system warnings to contact the dealership, all while I'm going 70 down the highway. When I stopped at auto parts store for a code reader, it only came back with one trouble code, for a left wheel sensor. I guess all the other things that popped up were downstream from this error. Does this mean I can no longer do drive-thru car washes, or could it just be a coincidence? By the way, the place I bought the car from is going to replace the sensor. They gave me a 30-day warranty on the whole car. Thanks everyone.
Look for rodent chew marks on the wiring harness. The car driving through puddles, in the rain is equivalent to a car wash. If it happens again; I would follow the sensor wire up into the main harness. The bare wires probably shorted to ground and/or signal was intermittent.
