I have no idea. If it does, I suspect it’ll replace the CH-R. This could be a way to revitalise the Yaris line after canning the sedan and hatchback. The Corolla Cross is more likely to fill the void left by the original RAV4 now that the RAV4 has gotten big. It might even come back as the Matrix.
I was bothering a CSR for some reason on corporate (actually they bothered me in a pop up long story) and I asked questions about their lineup of vehicles named “cross” and they stated that no vehicle bearing the “Yaris Cross” title will come to the USA. That title is for foreign markets only
I guess Toyota won't get my money then. Come to think of it, our current vehicles are running just fine.
