<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(TonyPSchaefer @ Jun 29 2006, 10:27 AM) </div> Tony... wonder no more. Just look at the pictures! Get yourself a silver car, and suddenly the caps ARE the same color as the car.
I have a question for everyone who has these hubcaps on their car. I have noticed when people pass me they are always looking at my hubcaps. Has any one else noticed this? I've only seen my car once being driven by my local dealer and I think it makes the wheels look like they are not moving. Its a very strange but cool sight to see. Its also pretty cool to see them in the rain and how the water flies off of them.
I have noticed that when my wife and I are at a restaurant all sorts of people are drawn to my car and are pointing at the hubcaps. They smile and then give my Prius a closer look. I have seen many kids look in the windows and yell to the parents to look in my car too. They are looking at the MFD in the center of the console. I have also had lots of random people complement me on my hubcaps in downtown Houston. I know they are not for everyone as when my best friend first saw them he paused and politely said "Well I understand them." He, knowing me, knew I am an efficiency freak. I think that was his nice way of saying they’re fugly. Oh well, at least I like them….and I like the lower wind resistance, A.K.A. better gas mileage, when I’m driving 70 mph. Now I just need to mod my horn to a cheap MP3 player so it will play the Jetson’s tune. The "Meet George Jetson" sound. Also, when I put it into EV mode and hit the gas, it could play the "Bzzzzzzzzzzzz" sound the Jetson's car makes. I can see myself now dropping my wife off every morning and yelling "---------, ---------, How do you stop this crazy thing!"
