I just replaced my broken MFD with a new one and it works now. Since the car is a California car that sits in the sun some plastic panels broke off when I was replacing it but that's another story. I don't know if anybody has any use or can repair it. If you want it, just pay me shipping, or ideally, local pick up in San Diego. Otherwise I am sending it to the electronic recycling plant.
