I have the factory mp3 player stereo, and I was wondering if there's a way (a little trick, or possibly in the MFD) to change the rate at which you can scroll through the pages of mp3 files on the display. There's times where it's deathly slow, and if I want to change something while I'm stopped at a light, it can get frustrating. And secondly, I know the feature that locks out the mp3-file screen while in motion is a factory safety feature, but are there any ways to disable it? When I've got a passenger in the car (very often) that wants to browse what's on the CD, they've gotta wait until I'm not moving. Kinda sucks. Any replies are greatly appreciated.
Welcome to Priuschat. The speed of the MP3 disc readout is not adjustable. Use the Search function and search for "Speed Sensor Defeat". It's an easy mod. Many have done it. Have fun.
