Auto Stop Start in non hybrid

Australia has almost no homes with wood shingles. I can only recall 2, and they were very odd avant-garde homes.

The vast majority here have steel roofs, followed by concrete tiles. I've had 5 homes with steel, 2 with tiles.

 

Nearly every home here is asphalt shingles. Want to go metal for the advantage with solar.
The garage still has its 100yr old slate tiles.
