Hey guys My wife and I had an 05 Prius that had the homelink on the mirror and smart key options but no aux. input. We are starting to look at buying another prius and I just wondered if the aux. input became standard equipment on any particular year model? Maybe 2006 because our 06 Rav4 is the base model but it has it. If someone could let me know that would be awesome. thanks jared
also where are the aux inputs located in a prius so i can look for it in the ones that we test drive. thanks
2006 was the year of the Aux Input (not just in the Prius but the auto industry it seems) Check the Knowledge Base section to see which packages came with the Aux Input. it's located in the centre console next to the 12V power outlet.
Or just get the car you really want and add an AUX input or a new stereo to it. A USB option as well as bluetooth and better sound quality can be added for about $250-$300 really easy on non-JBL equipped Prius.
Aux Input is located in the center console and has never been standard on the Gen II. Beginning with the 2006 model year, it's been included in relatively low # Option Packages and up: 2006 - Package #2 and up 2007 - Package #1 and up 2008 - Package #2 and up 2009 - Package #2 and up
