Dearest All--- I am finally taking the plunge, and want to get sattelite. However, after reading through the boards, I'm a little lost. What is the best (cheaper would be nice, too) option for me to connect up sat. to my 07' Prius that integrates into the native controls.... if it can be taken inside afterwards and connected to my stereo, that's a plus, but not required. AFAIK the only way you'll have controls integrated into the steering wheel (other than volume and switching to whatever way you have the satellite radio hooked in) would be with one of the fully integrated systems....meaning no way to take part inside the house. I think you need to decide what's more important. Portability or full integration.

What you might be more interested in for integration and portability is this..... You can also use the TOY-SC1 emulator with a portable tuner unit and dock, allowing fully integrated MFD control while in the car, that could also be taken inside the house or anywhere.. That would get you the most out of your Sirius subscrition, but you would have a portable unit and doc somewhere in your car. You would need TOY-SC1, SCVDOC1, and Stilletto or tuner of your choice.
What I did was order the Toyota XM radio unit. I did the installation myself; everything simply plugs into the in-dash radio system and works just like a factory install (because it really is). I mounted the actual XM unit under the front right passenger seat, on top of the existing amplier and ran the XM antenna onto the top of my dashboard. Everything works great and no major issues or problems. ---bob

if your local circuit city or best buy has them, get it there. they have SCC1 for sure@ 49.99, I paid 59.99 online because I didnt want to drive 35 miles to the only best buy that had ONE in stock. Local audio installers may carry it though, and buy.com has the toy unit at for 83 bucks with free shipping.. just got the units tonite at 7pm from ups, they are very nice..with good booklets and packaging(thought it would be OEM, bagged but was surprised). Will start the project tommrow
