Keep in mind that besides the bladder, you also have a microprocessor in the fuel gauge. It's rather esoteric. I've filled Pearl and not seen the gauge rise to full until the next day or the day after that! Rare, but it happens. That being said, DO NOT ignore the fuel gauge! If it indicates you may need fuel, GET FUEL! I try to keep my tank 1/2 full or more all the time unless I'm on a long highway trip. In other words, I fill up at 1/2 tank on the guess gauge.
