Hi Fellow prius owners.I am a new member and the happy owner of a prius series 3 2009 base model no satnav ...amazing vehicle should have bought one years ago.....i can use the mobile via blutooth...but can't import my phone book from the phone...so i manually enter numbers and names....that's ok but can i stream music video sound thru the blutooth from my phone or tablet....both android ? thanks Peter Queensland Australia
As the previous owner of an '07, I can say that bluetooth is for phone only, on that generation. You will have to use the aux jack to listen to music...
Eclipse is spot on about the music streaming. Google your phone type and transfer phone numbers to toyota prius and see what comes up. I cannot remember how I did it, but found it by googling something similar to what I just wrote. Enjoy the new ride. dave
I use this to Bluetooth adaptor to an aux jack for phone and music. Sadly, it works better and faster in my other car than the Bluetooth built into my 2012 Prius. Amazon.com: iClever Himbox HB01 Bluetooth 4.0 Hands-Free Car Kit with 3.5mm Aux Jack, Multi-Point Access, Siri / Voice Activation, Dual USB Charger & Magnetic Base, Updated Aluminum Ring - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories Takes some 5 seconds to connect and works almost every time versus the Prius which takes 2 minutes on average and may take up to 5 and sometimes never connects requiring a restart which of course is restarting the car. Restarting the adapter is just plug and unplug the USB power.
Oh, man, you just made my day. Have been driving my wife's Prius v and SO enjoying the Bluetooth audio. If this works I owe you a beer, just ordered it!
