Hey Guys and Gals, I had CC install a Bazooka 8100 today, and it sounds great! Much better than I thought, but of course nothing near the 1400w stereo I setup in my old car. My wife and I ran to the grocery just bit ago and I had the sound level at 10. The sub didn't kick in until sound level 16, and turn off again at sound level 14... Is that normal? I don't have the manual, and I intend on researching more, but I figured I'd ask around here first, since Prius folk around here seems to love the bazooka tube setup. Oh - I plan on getting the remote gain control for it, and I wonder if that will fix it?
Sorry, can't remember all the changes in features from my '04-'07, but do you have ASL (auto sound leveling)? Perhaps that influenced the kick-in/kick-out of the bass if you were fiddling with the sound level while moving. And do post pics and what your costs ended up being.

Sounds like it could be a loose connection somewhere. If the sub isn't shutting off, check your audio connections.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rxmxsh @ Apr 17 2007, 08:55 AM) </div> So it shuts the amp off every so often? I'd check the accessory power line or it may just be a grounding issue. Where is your ground point? It may not be getting full metal/metal contact with the connection point.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rxmxsh @ Apr 17 2007, 08:55 AM) </div> Can you utilize a separate power on/off signal and not use the auto-on feature?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rxmxsh @ Apr 17 2007, 08:55 AM) </div> Tap the constant power line. It sounds like they tapped the remote line instead.
All fixed. They didn't use the bazooka wiring so it had to be wired differently. The guy was new and didn't know....
