Talk the Toyota hand. The issue is what Toyota says about performance impact of a factory option. You can't sell someone a 53/48 mpg car and then say....Sucker!...when the person buys factory options and gets significantly poorer performance due to the factory option and with no disclaimer from Toyota. So the person should talk to the dealer and find out what the disclaimer is on the optional tire size.
Isn't the EPA number an average anyway (read the small print under the big mpg #'s)? The different wheel sizes may be factored into it.
