2008 Honda Civic Hybrid - Savings Calculator - the Official Honda Web Site i know this isn't very nice, but i couldn't help myself... over 10 years it would cost me an extra $500 or so in gas to get the HCH... :twitch: (assuming gas prices at $4, which is ignorant at best)
mpg = 45 for me.. i have no savings.. this is dumb... doesn't consider local... doesn't consider that if i did have premium that there would be a gas price difference...
This is hysterical! Over 10 years, it would cost me $1,825 to drive the Honda. Pfft! I love my Prius!!!
I feel really bad now. Gas is 1.50$/L here (5.68$/US gallon) and the calculator doesn't let you enter a value higher than 5.00$/gallon US
Silly calculator. It doesn't know about hypermiling . Breaking 60mpg on the highway in an HCH is cake. There's a small but real chance that my FE would be better than my 54mpg Prius average if I had bought that instead due to a heavy bias toward highway driving overall. Of course, I would be cursing about the lack of cargo volume at least once a week. The world is a better place without me getting grumpy every time I want to haul something big.
