B.E.T.S.Y. (Battery, Engine & Toyota Scanner for You) is an open-source Android app that can actually read Toyota INF/sub-codes directly from the hybrid ECU.

The catch? It can read them, but it can’t decode them yet.

That’s the goal for the next release, and I need real-world data to make it happen.

I’m looking for volunteers with Gen 2 and Gen 3 Priuses (roughly 2004–2015), especially cars with stored fault codes, to help crowdsource captures.

Install v0.0.2, connect a Bluetooth ELM327 dongle, capture the data, then hit the built-in Share button to submit it straight to the public GitHub repo. No account, no sign-up.

The app is fully open source and the APK is built by GitHub Actions directly from the public source. No VIN, location, or identifying data is uploaded.

Healthy cars are useful too as control samples.

    Android 8.0+

    Download B.E.T.S.Y. v0.0.2
