your 12 volt battery located in the back of the vehicle on the right side ( looking at the vehicle from the back , of course ) you have to lift up the tray cover thing and remove the trim that covers it on the right side then the 12 volt battery is there. , i think autozone checks it for you for free, not sure, but its surely a 12 volt problem, i had this problem with my 05 prius when i first got it, and it turned out to be a 12 volt system problem.
