Convert factory radio into shell for stealth electronics?

    Now that I've done the stealth radio install, I have basically a useless factory radio taking up space.

    I'm wondering if anyone has ever investigated the possibility of hollowing out the unit, and turning the exterior into a door, or at least removable. In theory you can then use this space to put a GPS or something, and still look factory when parked.

    Any thoughts?

    check ebay motors, it may be more worth it to just sell the unit and be done with it. you'd be helping another prius with a dead radio.
