    I have the original one which supposedly overheats, but I never had this issue, even when it sat in full sun for many hours, guess I was one of the lucky ones. BlackVue dealers did acknowledge that they addressed these issues in v2, so hopefully it isn't a problem anymore.

    correct, V2 fixed the overheating issue
