Just curious... Has anyone switched between AUX and the iPod. It seems when I switch to the AUX I have no problems but when I leave it in AUX then shut the car down and restart. Then go to iPod the steering wheel controls do not work. I get the *. Luckily I put the little s-video like cable in an accessible spot. Unplugging that and plugging it back in and restarting the car seems to fix the problem. I am using the latest iPod firmware.
I've had just the * at couple of times, but I unplugged the iPod and plugged it back in, which fixed it. This is not when switching from AUX to iPod, this is when plugging in the iPod while in Ready (and it doesn't happen every time).
