...and have you seen the vicious way we produce and mass murder plants, sometimes just to eat their virgin spawn...often whole, raw and before death has set...but more often cut up, chopped up, mashed, boiled, fried and even baked in an oven. What a cruel and detestable species human beings are.
Just raise your own birds. Or just find a local farmers market selling free range birds, or even grass fed beef. There are local farmers out there raising livestock in a more humane and less environmentally damaging way.
I don't like getting up at oh-dark-thirty to pick hen-berries, so I let my neighbors do the poultry thing. That keeps us in eggs, but I still get meat at the Commissary.
