Water hardness makes a big difference with spotting. Even if you have a softener, your water is still full of ions. With soft water you get less obnoxious ions, but ions still. I suppose I could re-engineer a household dishwasher to use deionized or even RO water for the rinse, but that sounds like an expensive bother. Tom
