Hello all.. Does the NAV system have text to speech, "Turn left on Main St" or is it like the older Garmin units where it just says "turn left in 400 ft" or something like that? Thanks! John

The NAV system has no text-to-speech, so it can only say "canned" words and phrases, as well as numbers. So it can tell you a highway number, but not a street name. It can also say things such as "ramp", "freeway", etc. I've never found it to be a problem, since I use the split screen mode, and with a quick glance at the display you can easily see the street name, which is usually only necessary where there are several side streets close together.
